Future2 grants 2007

2007 was the year of Future2's establishment, and the first Make the Difference! grants. $20,000 was awarded in grants to recipients in Queensland and Victoria.

SearchLight Inc, QLD

Future2 Financial Success is a Queensland-based Search Light project endorsed by the FPA Brisbane Chapter. The project funded helped to develop financial and life skills among Year 10 to 12 girls at a Queensland community access school. Half of the girls are Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islanders; one in four are already mothers; and all have been alienated from their families and mainstream
education.

Access Mildura, VIC

Access Mildura is a community based training body that was seeking to set up a retail outlet for young trainees, with the support of the FPA Sunraysia Chapter. The grant went towards the purchase of essential equipment for the retail facility which allows Access Mildura to expand its training for disabled and under-privileged kids in Mildura.
