Giving to a great cause!
Future2 has been fortunate to receive broad support from a wide range of individual and corporate donors, most of them financial planners or those connected with the financial planning profession. Of course, we'd like to encourage others to give too. Here are some ways you can do it.
Fundraising events
Many of our donors support fundraising events. They buy raffle tickets or bid at auction. Some of them support the fundraising efforts of friends and colleagues who are participating in a cycling event such as the BT Future2 Wheel Classic (for more, click on the icon to the right), or some other personal challenge, such as a marathon.
Organising your own fundraiser
Other supporters have organised their own fundraisers: golf days, dinners and entertainments and donated the funds to Future2. Many Chapters of the Financial Planning Association have done this, and young professionals at AMP Horizons Academy. Our new fundraising portal with Everyday Hero now makes individual fundraising very simple. Check out the site.
Matching donations
In some cases, money raised by employees of financial institutions and financial planning businesses has been matched by those businesses. That's a great way to make the most of your own achievements.
Regular giving from your salary
Yet other donors have made a regular commitment to donate via a Workplace Giving program. Perhaps your employer already has one you could join? If not, it's easy to set one up. Click the icon to the right for more information.
Sponsoring a Future2 event
Take the example of our generous corporate partners, and sponsor a Future2 event. There are lots of brand-building, business development and employee engagement opportunities to be had. Corporate sponsors are entitled to a package of benefits.
Give your knowledge or skills!
As valuable as money raised, is the benefit we gain from the help of volunteers who give their time and skills to assist us, enabling Future2 to keep its overhead costs to the absolute minimum. A committed pro bono supporter over the years has been the Financial Planning Association, but there are many other organisations and individuals to whom we say a big 'thank you!"
