Future2 Foundation Limited is a company limited by shares and guarantee. The company is the trustee of Future2, a charitable trust and has the power to pay the trust's income and assets to the benefit of people in necessitous circumstances. The Future2 Board has resolved to seek to benefit certain locally based bodies that help those in need.
The Future2 Board Charter provides a basis for the good governance of Future2 Foundation Limited and operates in conjunction with the Trust Deed of Future2 and the Trustee Act 1925 (NSW).

Peter Bobbin is Managing Principal of Argyle Lawyers. Peter specialises in the financial services industry as well as federal and state taxation law, company, estate and superannuation law. He was formerly a taxation accountant with Coopers & Lybrand (Australia and UK) and Peat Marwick Mitchell (Sydney) and is a former lecturer in the LLM (Taxation) Degree at the University of Western Sydney, as well as being a regular guest lecturer at a wide range of universities, institutes and associations.
An author and speaker on estate planning, superannuation and taxation, his work has been published by Asset, Australian Financial Review BRW, Money Management, SMH, The Australian and The Securities Institute of Australia.
Matthew Brown CFP® is Director and Practice Principal of MiQ Private Wealth on the Gold Coast. He is one of three FPA directors nominated to the Future2 board, which he joined in 2011. He has been a financial planner for over 26 years, having started his finance career with AMP and Westpac and joining Josman Financial Group in 2004.
Matthew has extensive not-for-profit board experience. Currently he is on the board of Broadbeach Alliance, a community based events business of which he has been Chair since 2012; from 2008 to 2012 he served on the Board of the Chamber of Commerce in Broadbeach/Surfers Paradise.
Patrick Canion CFP®
An American born, Perth native Patrick Canion’s career has been a journey of experience and tenacity, from postman, insurance and the church to financial planning. He is currently Managing Director of one of Perth’s most successful financial services firm, ipac WA (originally rmg financial services). He joined the Future2 board in January 2014.
Patrick began his financial services career at National Mutual and then later at rmg financial services as a financial planner. In 1995 he became Pastor of a small, community-based church with a focus on grass-roots ministry to the under-privileged and prisoners. Several years later this chapter ended with his marriage and the church closed. Patrick re-entered financial services and is now re-married with adult children. He now runs a thriving financial advice business, ipac WA.
Petra Churcher AFP®
Petra Churcher is General Manager of ipac South Australia. She entered financial planning in 1999 with National Australia Bank before being appointed executive manager and financial planning at Portfolio Planning Solutions, which was acquired by ipac South Australia in 2009. Petra's earlier career was in retail and commercial finance broking and in the SA Police Department.
Petra was a finalist in the Telstra Business Women of the Year 2013. She is Chair of the SA Chapter of the Financial Planning Association, as well as a member of the Regional Chapter Committee. She was a Future2 Ambassador before being appointed to the Future2 Board (2016-2018) and has led fundraising efforts for Future2 in South Australia.
Dante De Gori CFP®
Dante De Gori is the Chief Executive Officer of the Financial Planning Association (FPA). Prior to commencing this role on 1 March 2016, Dante spent five years as General Manager, Policy and Conduct at the FPA. In this role, Dante led the FPA’s proactive policy and government relations strategy, participating in key Parliamentary Inquiries, Government Committees and Treasury Working Groups. He also led the formulation of countless FPA policy submissions and has been responsible for overseeing the professional conduct and accountability of FPA members and FPA Professional Practices.
Prior to joining the FPA, Dante worked in technical roles with ClearView Financial Management, Zurich Financial Services and Asteron Life (Suncorp). Dante holds a Bachelor of Commerce (majoring in Finance), a Graduate Certificate in Politics and Policy, a Diploma in Financial Planning, and is currently completing a Masters in Government and Commercial Law. He is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® professional.
Anne Graham CFP®
Anne Graham is managing director and partner of McPhail HLG Financial Planning based in Melbourne and has worked in financial planning since 1999. She is responsible for the day to day management and long-term strategic planning of the business, as well as being the principal client adviser. Anne's career in financial services began with a leading Australian Bank where she worked in money markets, and personal and small business lending. Before moving to financial planning she gained experience in life insurance and accounting.
Anne is an active member of the FPA and has served on the FPA Melbourne Chapter, FPA Policy and Regulations Committee and the FPA Conference Committee. Among many professional awards, Anne was Securitor Adviser of the Year (VIC) 2014 and National 2011 and Winner FPA CFP® Professional Best Practice Award (Vic) 2013.
Michael Guggenheimer is an experienced financial services executive who has worked in banking and wealth management in Australia, New Zealand and the United Kingdom. He was appointed Managing Director of Hillross and AMP Financial Planning in January 2014 after 8 years as MD of AMP Financial Planning. Since joining AMP in 1996 he has held senior positions in retail banking and financial planning. Prior to joining AMP he was with Westpac for 17 Years, working in regional sales, human resources, banking and bank training and development.
As well as being on the Board of Future2 Foundation, Michael is on the Advice Board of the Financial Services Council. He holds a management diploma from Monash University and a diploma of finance and mortgage broking management. He is a senior fellow of the Financial Services Institute of Australasia (FINSIA), an affiliate of the FPA and signatory of the Banking & Finance Oath (BFO).
Joseph Hoe CFP®
Joseph Hoe is a senior financial planner with Wealthwise Pty Ltd, based in Perth. He has worked in financial planning since 1998 and was awarded CFP® certification in 2000. His background includes time in one of the Big 4 accounting firms overseas and advising to small to medium businesses in Australia. He is a FCPA, Chartered Tax Adviser and the WA state winner of the FPA Future2 Community Service Award in 2014.
A Justice of the Peace in Western Australia, Joseph provides consultation and aid to a variety of charities and non-profit organisations & has a wide portfolio of voluntary activities, including as Team Captain of a team of 16 that raised more than $37,000 in the Ride to Conquer Cancer 2014; as a member of the financial management advisory committee of the Noongar Institute of WA, and a board member and treasurer of the Dungeon Youth Centre.
Neil Kendall CFP®
Neil is the Managing Director of Tupicoffs Pty Ltd, an FPA Professional Practice based in Brisbane. He was appointed to the Board of the Financial Planning Association (FPA) in November 2010 and Chair in November 2014. Neil was treasurer of the FPA Brisbane chapter for four years, and also spent time on the FPA Legislation and Regulation Committee. He is currently a member of the Remuneration & Succession Planning Committee of the Board and Chair of the Policy and Regulations Committee of the Board.
He won a national and two state FPA Value of Advice awards in 2006, as well as being a national finalist in 2009. He was nominated for Australian of the Year in 2011 and 2013. Neil was the Money Management Financial Planner of the Year in 2006 and runner-up in 2009. Neil has qualified in the Masterclass Top 50 in 2006, 2008, 2010 and 2012. A CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER®, Neil has a degree in business, and a Diploma in Financial Planning. He is a Fellow of the FPA and a Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
Michael Neary was appointed Future2’s first independent director in August 2007 following an extensive search and interview process. He is currently State Director NSW Enterprise & Government Enterprise Solutions at Leighton Contractors Telecoms Division. He was formerly Industry Director Financial Services at Telstra Enterprise & Government. Dr Neary holds a Doctorate In Business Administration and has worked in market development and strategic roles in the financial services industry.
Dr Neary was a director of Habitat for Humanity Australia, an international housing not-for-profit, and was a judge of the 2006 Prime Minister’s Award for Community Business Partnerships.
Marianne Perkovic is Executive General Manager Advice at Commonwealth Bank. She has 20 years' experience in financial services. Marianne joined the Commonwealth Bank Group in 2010 as General Manager Distribution at Colonial First State and was promoted to Executive General Manager CBA Wealth Management in 2012. Prior to joining CBA she was with Count Financial Limited for more than 11 years, being appointed CEO and MD in 2006. That appointment made her the youngest female CEO of an ASX listed company. Marianne holds directorships across a number of CBA's subsidiary boards.
Mark Rantall CFP®
Following a 25-year financial services career, Mark was appointed CEO of the Financial Planning Association in 2010, a position he held until February 2016. In his first year at the FPA, Mark achieved key constitutional changes to the FPA membership structure to focus on individual practitioners and secured more than $2 million of funding from members for a national consumer advertising initiative. In addition, Mark has spear-headed the campaign to raise awareness of the higher standards of FPA members to the Government, media and other industry stakeholders on behalf of the FPA’s 8,500 practitioner members and the 5 million clients they advise.
Prior to the FPA, Mark was involved in the creation of The NAB Academy and held the post of Dean of Advice after serving as Managing Director of Godfrey Pembroke from 2003 to 2008. In this role, Mark successfully facilitated more than 200 Godfrey Pembroke advisers to transition to a fee-for-service remuneration model.
Matthew Rowe CFP®
Matthew Rowe was until recently the Group Managing Director of Hood Sweeney, the largest independent accounting and financial planning firm in Australia. He has almost 20 years' experience advising high net-worth clients and significant experience as a business leader and company director.
Matthew enjoys contributing to the growth and success of an organisation; he has strong governance skills and an ability to drive change to improve results and deliver outcomes. Matthew was also the Chairman of the Financial Planning Association from 2011-14 and has been involved in two charities in South Australia. Matthew was appointed a Future2 trustee/director in February 2011 and Chair in 2016.
